Sometime in my late teens I began to develop pain in my left temple which at times became excruciating. By the time I was in my mid-twenties I became accustomed to taking large amounts of pain killers during these episodes as well as prescribed courses of antibiotics, (mistaken diagnosis) several times per year.
After doing some research based on medical/dental opinions, I pursued a new avenue of treatment for “TMJ”. At 35 years of age I spent 6 months wearing extremely bulky and obvious orthotic appliances, all day, even while interacting with people at my job. Ultimately this therapy went nowhere.
Through a glowing recommendation from my son’s pediatric dentist, I met Dr. Logan in 1990. Although we moved out of state in 1995 my husband I continued as his patients because the care we received and the hygienists were top notch. It wasn’t until our daughter was born that our trips to Kinnelon with a baby, that did not travel well, became too much for me.
Although Dr. Logan had fitted me with an orthotic appliance that worked well and kept me comfortable, but it inevitably wore out. The local dentist I was seeing in New York was of little help. One actually told me that any “TMJ” therapies available do not work.
At my husbands urging I went to see Dr. Logan. Ever on the cutting edge, he advised me on how a revolutionary procedure could correct my bite in order to eliminate my ongoing symptoms. I decided to go ahead with the treatment and was invited to have the final stages of my procedures completed at Las Vegas Institute.
This was to say the least an amazing experience. However despite all of the dental professionals I encountered there I don’t believe I would have agreed to have this work done with anyone other than Dr. Logan at the helm. He is not only capable but also compassionate and diligent. His resolve has gotten me to a point where I will soon be entirely free of pain that has dogged me for most of my entire adult life.

In 1997 a friend of mine introduced me to Dr. Robert Logan. I was badly in need of dental work and was not aware that, unconsciously, I had been grinding my teeth for years, down to a nub. Only a quarter of an inch of my own teeth remained. Other dentists never mentioned this. I trusted Dr. Logan to do a complete renovation although it was not an easy decision on my part due to the difficulty of the procedure. I have never regretted that decision. My relationship with Dr. Logan has always been professionally friendly, a quality not easy to find in life.

I had previously gone to a sleep center at Valley Hospital and their solution was a mask and air bottle, which is extremely uncomfortable.
I can’t get over it! The first night I put the device on I and my wife slept through the night and have done so ever since.

I first came in to Dr. Logan in June of 2009 because I was having sensitivity on a back tooth. During his examination he asked me if I had any problem with headaches or neck issues. He said that my teeth showed signs of severe grinding and that headaches were very often a symptom of grinding and TMJ problems. At that time I had a history of approximately 10 to 15 years of chronic migraine headaches. I had been taking Imatrex and Topamax for the control of these headaches. I was also having problems with clicking and popping of my joints while I was eating and chronic ear pain, which was on both sides but mostly on the left. During the consultation he explained that there was a reversible way of finding out if my ear pain had any relationship to my teeth. This would require that I wear a removable appliance to stabilize my bite and place my lower jaw into a proper relationship. Once I started to wear the appliance it took about one week of adjustment and then the migraines were GONE. I was still having some minor ear pain on the left side.
After about six weeks I had the option to change into what Dr. Logan called a fixed orthotic. This was a tooth colored bonded appliance placed over my teeth that looked and felt like natural teeth but positioned my jaw into the proper relationship. This was more comfortable than the removable orthotic and allowed me to eat and smile like normal. I still had NO migraines and my ear pain was now under control. For the first time in 15 years I had gone longer than a week without a migraine.
After about 10 weeks in the fixed orthotic I decided to go ahead with the final phase of treatment. My teeth were restored to provide a proper jaw relationship that was in harmony with muscles. My work was finished in November of 2009. My migraines are gone, my ear pain is gone and now the clicking and popping in my joints are gone and I have a beautiful smile. The treatment wasn’t much of a problem at all. I would say that my mouth feels a hundred times better. It doesn’t feel like it’s in the wrong place and the teeth don’t hit in the wrong spots. I no longer feel that there’s something wrong with my mouth which in turn is setting off other issues.
If I was going back in time and able to start the process all over again I would have no second thoughts. Everybody at Dr. Logan’s office treated me very well through the whole process. I felt like they didn’t just do their job but they went out of their way to make me feel like this was my second home. I was treated like family. I had decided to have my top front teeth laminated this past summer as one of my front eye teeth was in bad shape and needed to be capped. The other teeth were in questionable condition and Doctor Jess suggested my top eight front teeth be laminated. The process would preserve the tooth structures and give me a great smile as well.
The process was explained thoroughly, so I was comfortable making my decision. The procedure went well for me and the outcome was fantastic. Doctor’s Bob and Jess, Danielle and Teri were very professional and patient friendly.
After the laminates were cemented permanently, I returned a few times to the office for some minor bite adjustments with Dr. Jess and Bob. My bite feels great and my teeth look great. I would strongly recommend this procedure to anyone thinking about having it done.

As a child I had braces, headgear, retainers, and an enormous fear of dentists. It wasn’t until after a family member assured me that this office was so amazing did I seek real dental care as an adult. Dr. Logan knew it had been a while since I had been to a dentist. After getting my mouth back on track I told the doctor about my terrible neck pain and grinding issues. I honestly wasn’t aware of the real causes behind this. Being told in your twenties that you have a severe case of degenerative joint disease is very scary. However, Dr. Logan explained that doing a full-mouth reconstruction would be the answer to my pain. He went into great detail explaining everything the procedure involved. This is cutting edge technology and I trust no one with the care of my mouth other than Dr. Logan. The procedure didn’t all happen over night – it was a very involved process. However, I felt relief from my neck pain almost immediately. It was amazing. Through this procedure I could not have asked for such patient doctors or a more caring staff.

I was always someone who jumped in front of the camera with a huge smile. But years of an unhealthy lifestyle had done great damage to my teeth and gums. My bite was even affected. Admittedly, I was somewhat nervous when I came for my first appointment, not so much about pain, because I knew my condition was much more painful then getting it fixed.
I guess not having seen a dentist in over 30 years made me a little uptight. I knew that techniques, medication and technology have probably improved over that time.
Besides all of that, you came highly recommended. It was nearly 20 years that my friend Ted first recommended you to me. I’ve kept the name an d number for “Dr. Robert Logan” on a little piece of paper all this time; saving it for the eventual situation when my water pick just couldn’t save me anymore.
When I got to your office I was a little surprised to the “open” design of your treatment facilities, but quickly found it to be quite agreeable. I particularly liked the wall fountain, the background music and the outdoor view for the treatment chairs. These attributes defiantly helped me relax.

I wanted to thank you, your amazing team and Linda for the expression of sympathy. It meant a great deal to Phillip to receive your card and personal note.
This is Phillip’s first encounter with the loss of a loved one. He was very close to his grandmother. This summer, she was very concerned with his dental disorder and the impact it would have on him. Every day she prayed for me to find the best solution to correct this situation. When I told her of the procedures he would have to endure, she asked God to guide the doctors’ hand to heal Phillip.
This past September when she last saw Phillip, she couldn’t believe how happy and handsome he was. When he told her that it did not even hurt, she cried and praised Jesus Christ for the miracle bestowed on him. I am writing this letter to thank you for everything you did for my daughter Alexis in treating her TMJ. Alexis was having headaches for a long time. We had her tested for allergies and had taken her to the eye doctor to see if she needed glasses. She would frequently wake up in the morning with “migraine-like” headaches and unable to get up for school.
When you asked us questions about her symptoms, you were describing exactly what she was experiencing. So, we decided to proceed with the analysis and eventually with the orthotic device that you provided. Since wearing this at night her headaches have almost totally gone. We are very grateful.

Of particular assistance to me was the tutorial you provided on the root of TMJ and bite issues and how is causes residual pain through the muscular system, jaw and skull. I have been a patient for the past 35 years or so. During this time I have nothing but great things to say about his practice and skills as a dentist. I could remember being just a teenager and thinking, I don’t mind going to the dentist because the doc would always say “I would not do anything to anyone of my patients that I wouldn’t do to myself.” He also told me he didn’t like pain so he doesn’t like his patients to feel pain either. These things always stuck in my mind and I knew I would never go to any other dentist regardless of the work I needed to have done to my teeth.
This brings me to my testimonial. A few years back I lost one of my permanent teeth that had to be pulled and replaced. At this time Dr. Logan didn’t have the technology to replace my tooth so I was referred to a specialist. This was not an option for me so I lived with my missing tooth for a couple of years. This past year Dr. Logan informed me that he had the technology that would literally be pain free to replace my tooth. I was hesitant at first, but trusted the Doc, so we moved forward with the process. I had an implant with no pain! There was little recovery time and it was non-invasive, with no stitches. I said to myself this is unbelievable that something so major could be so easy. I would recommend to anyone that needs a dentist, that dentist should be Doctor Robert Logan. After being diagnosed with periodontal disease I did search on the internet trying to get more information about the laser procedure that I had read about in a health magazine. Dr. Robert Logan was listed as one of the few dentists in New Jersey that perform this type of surgery known as Laser Periodontal Surgery or LANAP Surgery.
From the first viewing of Dr. Logan’s website, reading about his extensive training and success with this technique, I knew that he was the doctor that would perform my surgery.
My first appointment was a Comprehensive Examination and Consultation with Dr. Logan, and from our first meeting I felt extremely confident in his ability. The procedure is done in two, three hour visits, which is a long time to be in a dental chair, but the entire staff did everything necessary to make my appointment as comfortable as possible, and as promised, there was absolutely no discomfort after the procedure.
I have been extremely pleased with the results and continue to get excellent reports from my hygienist at my periodontal maintenance appointments.
I travel almost two hours to see Dr. Logan and his team, passing many dental offices during my trip, but there is no question I have found the right doctor and practice to take care of my dental needs. I would highly recommend both Doctor Logan and this procedure.

I had been to another dentist who had just told me that I would need to have quite a few of my teeth pulled , due to the state of my dental health. The enamel on my teeth was not good. Great roots, but terrible enamel, it was called Amelogenesis Imperfecta( a genetic disorder).
I was not happy with this summation so I decided to make an appointment at the office of a new dentist located on Main Street in Bloomingdale, NJ.
He gave me a thorough examination, and after the examination he told me how we would be able to save my teeth and give me a better smile.
I have been a patient of Dr. Logan’s ever since that first day back in 1975, and I can’t imagine ever going to someone else. He is a true professional and a magic maker when it comes to your teeth. His caring and true dedication to his trade and his patients is a great credit to this man.
Through the years there have been many reasons for me to visit his office (now in Kinnelon, NJ). Cleanings, fillings, root canals, caps, bridges. Due to the Amelogenesis Imperfecta, my teeth were all capped in 1977, and have lasted for a long time. Perhaps one or two needed to have work redone, but after years of having them they have all worked for me. All experiences with him and his staff have been comfortable and informative. He and his team would always explain exactly what was going to take place before beginning the work.
I am very fond of Dr. Logan and his team because of their work and their caring nature. I would recommend that others use his services with confidence. As a matter of fact my daughter and husband are patients of his as well and have been for quite a few years.

This is my second visit and I am very impressed with Dr. Logan and his team. Firstly I am struck by the polish & courtesy of the entire office but more importantly their attention to detail, easily understood explanations of procedures & diagnosis. Dr. Logan is extremely knowledgeable and has a very calm and concise approach to the issues at hand which leaves me feeling confident that I’ve made the right choice. I’m not sure words do this exceptional office justice as I have never had such a great experience in any other doctor or dental office. And that says a lot due to the fact I was an office manager in a Dental office for several years in New York City.

Since I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and fitted with the appliance, it has been life changing. It has stopped my snoring and I no longer gasp for air in the middle of the night. I wake up every day feeling rested and ready to face the day. The best part of it all has been not waking up with a headache. You have explained to me that a big part of my headache relief has been because the sleep appliance acts as a night guard, preventing me from grinding and clenching. As a result my limited jaw opening has improved a great deal.
The appliance has been very comfortable and I can’t fall asleep without it. I thank you for your caring and professionalism.

I had a 4.5 hour procedure and it was “almost” like a spa treatment! Let’s face it, it’s a dental office but I have to say it was a wonderful experience with little touches like a warmed neck pillow, blanket & ipod to drown out the drill. Dr. Robert Logan encountered a curve ball or 2 with my prior dental work but breezed through and kept me comfortable and pain free. Who knew injections could be so gently administered?! Dani kept me comfortable with the her wonderful chair-side skills, she also got me that great warmed up neck pillow, ipod & blanket, and Terri also assisted with front desk issues and chair-side. I felt like I was their sole focus and they showed great humor and care for me during the procedure. Looking forward to seeing them again tomorrow!!

I’m glad to say that I enjoy visiting my dentist (some people may think this is crazy? since who likes to get dental work anyway). I’m very satisfied with my choice of dentist office for various reasons. First, is the quality of care, expertise, skill and professionalism of my dentist, and, second, and equally important, is the quality and efficiency of the rest of the staff. I’ve never found, in any type of business, an office that functions so harmoniously, efficient, and, overall, extremely attentive and caring to their customers or patients. I’m amazed how well everyone in the office maintains a positive attitude, and how they service patients with a smile day in and day out—I’m always made to feel very comfortable, welcome and, in a nutshell, especial.
