Ellen – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

I had clicking of my jaw joints, headaches, earaches and grinding problems for many years. Dr. Logan was committed to making each visit a positive, pleasurable experience. My teeth not only look beautiful, but they function now as nature had intended.
Thank you Dr. Logan and Team,
Ellen

Doctor’s notes: Ellen experienced a “closed lock” of her right TMJ in June of 1997. Her before close-up shows a collapsed bite relation with significantly more space between her teeth on the left side, a result of a dysfunctional  imbalance between the TMJ’s, the muscles and the teeth. Ellen chose to have a neuromuscular rejuvenation, which involved the non-surgical correction of a pathological bite relation to a more physiological position, along with optimal esthetics to reverse the effects of years of dysfunctional grinding. – DRL

Jen – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

I was always someone who jumped in front of the camera with a huge smile. But years of an unhealthy lifestyle had done great damage to my teeth and gums. My bite was even affected. I became embarrassed and stopped looking people in the eye. If it wasn’t for the recommendation of my dentist, I would never have met Dr. Logan and his wonderful team. They made such a difficult step for me a great experience!

I had extensive work done, and I honestly can say it was painless. Having Danielle at my side through every appointment put me at ease. She had become a friend with whom I trusted. I trusted everyone in the office. How great it is to see a group of individuals so dedicated to their work. The intricate work performed by Dr. Logan is unbelievable!! I didn’t walk out looking like I had a mouth full of teeth. I looked natural. The process was not rushed. And it shows! His work not only makes you look good and feel good, it makes you a healthier person. And what better way to go through life than with a BIG smile in which so many hands have helped RE-create.

Thank you, Jen

Doctor’s notes: Jen suffered from a condition that caused the destruction of all the enamel on the bite and inner surfaces of her teeth. This led to a rapid wearing of the inner tooth structure and collapse of the stability of her muscle-TMJ relationship. The re-establishment of the proper upper jaw to lower jaw positioning allowed us to restore the lost structure and facial support, giving her back her beautiful smile.  – DRL

Doug – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

I had decided to have my top front teeth laminated this past summer as one of my front eye teeth was in bad shape and needed to be capped. The other teeth were in questionable condition and Doctor Jess suggested my top eight front teeth be laminated. The process would preserve the tooth structures and give me a great smile as well.

The process was explained thoroughly, so I was comfortable making my decision. The procedure went well for me and the outcome was fantastic. Doctor’s Bob and Jess, Danielle and Teri were very professional and patient friendly.

after the laminates were cemented permanently, I returned a few times to the office for some minor bite adjustments with Dr. Jess and Bob. My bite feels great and my teeth look great. I would strongly recommend this procedure to anyone thinking about having it done.

Regards, Douglas

Kanda – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

The personal care and attention given by Dr. Logan and his staff has been wonderful. My teeth have been restored to their original beauty and I am very pleased with the way they look. Dr.Logan was able to perform all of my dental work, at his state-of the art office facilities with his specialized team, with little or no discomfort.
Regards, Kanda Collora                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Doctor’s notes:  Kanda had several lower teeth removed at an earlier age and then suffered a progressive bite collapse and dysfunctional TMJ degeneration. She could only open her mouth 18 mm (normal is more than 44 mm) at her first appointment. Muscle and joint positions were harmonized, implants placed to replace the missing teeth and the upper and lower arches were restored to optimal function. – DRL

Kelly – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

Dr. Logan,

As a child I had braces, headgear, retainers, and an enormous fear of dentists. It wasn’t until after a family member assured me that this office was so amazing did I seek real dental care as an adult. Dr. Logan knew it had been a while since I had been to a dentist. After getting my mouth back on track I told the doctor about my terrible neck pain and grinding issues. I honestly wasn’t aware of the real causes behind this. Being told in your twenties that you have a severe case of degenerative joint disease is very scary. However, Dr. Logan explained that doing a full-mouth reconstruction would be the answer to my pain. He went into great detail explaining everything the procedure involved. This is cutting edge technology and I trust no one with the care of my mouth other than Dr. Logan. The procedure didn’t all happen over night – it was a very involved process. However, I felt relief from my neck pain almost immediately. It was amazing. Through this procedure I could not have asked for such patient doctors or a more caring team.

Dr. Logan and Team members:
Thank you for giving me faith that there are dentists out there that actually have your best interest at heart. Thank you for making my pain go away. Thank you for taking such good care of me and I will forever be grateful. Most importantly, thank you for giving me such a beautiful smile!

Kelly Peckham

Doctor’s notes: Kelly came to us with severe neck and TMJ pain and an extremely limited opening of 24 mm (normal is above 44 mm). Several head and neck muscle groups were hyperactive and painful. A three-dimensional CT scan of her TMJ’s revealed degenerative joint disease, a bio-mechanical condition in which an improper relationship between the upper and lower jaws leads to the destructive breakdown of the bone and disc components of the TMJ. Non surgical and reversible methods were utilized to eliminate her pain and muscle dysfunction and stabilize her bite and jaw relationship. Choosing not to go through orthodontic treatment again and desiring a smile makeover, Kelly chose to integrate optimal aesthetics, muscle functioning and TMJ positioning through a neuromuscular rejuvenation. – DRL

Lisa – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

Going to the dentist is not supposed to be a pleasant experience! Everyone I met greeted me with a smile and seemed genuinely concerned that I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. I was very impressed with all of the education and information shared about overall dental health and my current situation.

Thank you very much! Lisa

Doctor’s notes:  Lisa was referred to us for headache, neck and facial pain problems.  Years of bruxism, the pathological tooth grinding that many believe to be related to stress, had taken its toll.  The bite surfaces of all the teeth had worn down so that the protective mechanisms of an optimal bite relation no longer functioned.  Her front teeth had lost about 3 mm’s of structure and length, and her TMJ’s were showing signs of degenerative wear.  Restoring the lost tooth structure at a relaxed muscle position in harmony with proper joint position resolved her symptoms.  And now she has her smile back. – DRL

Loredano – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

In 1997 a friend of mine introduced me to Dr. Robert Logan. I was badly in need of dental work and was not aware that, unconsciously, I had been grinding my teeth for years, down to a nub. Only a quarter of an inch of my own teeth remained. Other dentists never mentioned this. I trusted Dr. Logan to do a complete renovation although it was not an easy decision on my part due to the difficulty of the procedure. I have never regretted that decision. My relationship with Dr. Logan has always been professionally friendly, a quality not easy to find in life.

Loredano

Doctor’s Notes: Loredano posed a particular challenge, as a lifetime of grinding led to a pathological bite collapse and dysfunctional chewing pattern.  His restoration was done in 1997, his “studio shot” in December 2007.  – DRL

Actual Case of Doctor Logan

Marianne – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

Sometime in my late teens I began to develop pain in my left temple which at times became excruciating. By the time I was in my mid-twenties I became accustomed to taking large amounts of pain killers during these episodes as well as prescribed courses of antibiotics, (mistaken diagnosis) several times per year.

After doing some research based on medical/dental opinions, I pursued a new avenue of treatment for “TMJ”. At 35 years of age I spent 6 months wearing extremely bulky and obvious orthotic appliances, all day, even while interacting with people at my job. Ultimately this therapy went nowhere.

Through a glowing recommendation from my son’s pediatric dentist, I met Dr. Logan in 1990. Although we moved out of state in 1995 my husband I continued as his patients because the care we received and the hygienists were top notch. It wasn’t until our daughter was born that our trips to Kinnelon with a baby, that did not travel well, became too much for me.

Although Dr. Logan had fitted me with an orthotic appliance that worked well and kept me comfortable, it inevitably wore out. The local dentist I was seeing in New York was of little help. One actually told me that any “TMJ” therapies available do not work.

At my husbands urging I went back to see Dr. Logan. Ever on the cutting edge, he advised me on how a revolutionary procedure could correct my bite in order to eliminate my ongoing symptoms. I decided to go ahead with the treatment and was invited to have the final stages of my procedures completed at Las Vegas Institute.

This was to say the least an amazing experience. However despite all of the dental professionals I encountered there I don’t believe I would have agreed to have this work done with anyone other than Dr. Logan at the helm. He is not only capable but also compassionate and diligent. His resolve has gotten me to a point where  I am now entirely free of the pain that has dogged me for most of my entire adult life.

Thank you Dr. Logan, Danielle and the best dental team ever. Marianne

Doctor’s notes: Marianne’s diagnostic evaluation revealed extreme hyperactivity of the muscles that position the lower jaw and a bite relation that was too retruded and over-compressed her TMJ’s. Proper positioning of the jaw-muscle-teeth relationship was accomplished non-surgically and her symptoms resolved with a removable appliance. She then decided to undergo a neuromuscular rejuvenation, which permanently restored her to this optimal position. Her reconstruction was accomplished in two appointments, three weeks apart in 2007.  – DRL

Marilyn – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

When first visiting Dr. Logan, I was in a lot of pain with my jaw clicking. After hearing what could be done, we proceeded with the preparation for my new teeth and bite. It was a long process but my results are beautiful.

Dr. Logan and his team are the most wonderful people. They are very conscious of the patients comfort level and go out of their way to make it a great experience. I can honestly say there was no pain and I can’t wait to have my bottom teeth done.

Being able to eat without my jaw clicking is just terrific. I guess you could say that my adventure with Dr. Logan and his team was a vey memorable one with great results.

Sincerely, Marilyn

Doctor’s notes: Marilyn’s neuromuscular rejuvenation optimized her anterior esthetics, while correcting a dysfunctional crossbite and stabilizing her TMJ position.  A smile that lights up a beautiful face.  – DRL

Angelo – Actual Case of Doctor Logan

Dr. Logan has been my dentist for 30 years and I have been satisfied for all his guidance.  The last 20 years he has warned me many times of my tooth grinding problem, but being a macho man I never took his warning seriously.

About five years ago I started noticing that I was having trouble with biting into anything that was hard and had difficulty with chewing my food.  One day while biting into an Italian sub, my jaw locked and I was in a lot of pain.  I called Dr. Logan and he asked me to come in A.S.A.P.   When I got to his office, he looked at me and said what he feared all these years had happened.  The disk in my jaw had popped right out of alignment.  He called it a closed lock.  Right away he put me on a TENS machine to relax my jaw so I could open my mouth.  He made me an appliance to wear so I could get my jaw back into place.  Due to the fact that I had ground down my teeth to the point of no return he recommended that they be rebuilt to an optimal position.

I once again can bite and chew my food.  I am so grateful that I have such a considerate dentist, who really cares for his patients’ welfare.  My teeth feel and look like they did when I was in my twenties.  Even my stomach feels much better since I can chew my food in the way it is meant to be.  I can’t say enough about Dr. Robert Logan, only thank you for having giving me back my health and comfort.

Doctor’s notes:  Angelo had a lower right 1st molar removed as a teen.  The two teeth behind that molar drifted forward into an unbalanced bite relationship which led to many years of destructive forces on his TMJ’s and teeth.  Like Loredano, most men can grind down their teeth and experience no tooth pain until it’s too late for conservative treatment.  Fortunately, we were able to non-surgically restore proper joint-disc and muscle relationship and then re-establish functional tooth contours and bite harmony.  Decades of severe wear and degeneration were reversed. – DRL
